Money Matters

In my experience, women, especially African women, have always shied away from conversations about money, earnings, expenses and investments. We were somehow socialized to think that these were the responsibilities of men.

How to start your business with no capital

Many times, I hear a lot of people complain about not being able to start a business because they lack the capital to do so. This might be true. Or not. I agree that there are some business ideas that require a huge amount of physical cash to create and develop, like tech and so on. However, there are those that are either small scale (and so, not much in terms of actual capital is needed) or those that the capital needed is not cash but other resources.

So, here are my (tested and trusted) tips for starting a business when you are low on cash.

Life Musings: Top 10 Richest Igbos in Nigeria

Guys,

I have been doing a lot of thinking: About where I want to be, what I want to do and how I want to live. I have come to the conclusion that money is good and that I want to be super-successful in all ramifications. And, you see this thing called entrepreneurship, it has to be my calling!

I enjoy doing, creating, developing, building, brain-storming, taking calculated risks, bringing teams together and making strategies. It drives me. When I think of all the plans I have, I am motivated.

I can literally have an idea and before in the next hour, I would have drafted a long list of things to do to make that idea a reality. I tell you, I'm not hyping myself. It's the truth. When I sit to think, I get F L O O D E D with i d e a s. It's in-born. I'm an in-born strategist!!!

Mummies in the house, let's face it, having a baby is expensive and baby items are also expensive.

This Covid-19

Some days ago, my husband forwarded to me a video that was “roaming” around the streets of social media.

7 Baby Items you do not need!

Hello people,
I wrote this article for BellaNaija and it was published three days ago. Click here to see it. I thought it was a great idea to post it here too for you, my lovely readers. So, here goes.
I have been thinking, when I was pregnant with my first child, I bought everything I saw and everything I was told was for babies. A few months after, I discovered that there were a lot of baby items I hardly—no, NEVER used! I had just invested in good quality unnecessary baby things. Boy, was I pained! I’m not a miser, don’t get me wrong. And, yes, I would do absolutely anything for my babies. But wasted efforts and investments? No way! So I vowed to let first time mums know these secrets.
